Being in my third and final year of uni and being able to work on your own individual project is both scary but exciting.
My project is based around culture, to celebrate it but to also explore the struggles that come with it.
The first brief (Identity Crisis) is about the struggles that people experience when living in an area where their culture isn't around them that much.
I asked 10 people a series of 5 different questions that allowed them to share their own stories about struggling with their own identities.
The questions:
-Do you have any experience of an ‘identity crisis’?
-What did you do?
-Why did you feel like you needed to do it?
-How did it make you feel?
-Did you grow out of it?
With the answers, I intended to make a series of posters but instead I created an illustrated poster publication as it worked out better.
